The emSBC-Argon is a powerful yet attractively priced single board computer. It enables real-time communication in power-saving operation. Its size of 104.5 x 77.5 mm makes it particularly space-saving.

The emSTAMP argon module

The heterogeneous architecture of the STM32MP1 with the dual-core Cortex-A7 also handles demanding tasks such as use in industrial IoT systems or motor control.

The additional Cortex-M4 makes the SBC ideal for industrial communication systems. It optionally supports the PROFINET, EtherCAT and EtherNet/IP protocols, among others.

The Cortex-M4 core uses the ecosystem of the STM32 MCU. Codes for STM32 Cortex-M4 systems are easily reusable.

The emSTAMP Argon is available with the Linux operating system.

The CPU STM32MP157

The STM32MP157 CPU is a microprocessor based on the flexible architecture of a Dual Arm® Cortex®-A7 core that can run at up to 800 MHz and a Cortex®-M4 core at 209 MHz. It is part of the STM32MP1 microprocessor series, which ranges from a single Arm® Cortex®-A7 to a Dual Arm® Cortex®-A7 and Cortex®-M4 cores.

The STM32MP157 CPU is designed for various applications and offers features such as a dual-core Cortex-A7 application core and 2D/3D image composition with GPU.

The STM32 family is part of the ST long-term availability program. This is usually renewed every year and therefore offers a timely preview of a discontinuation directly via the manufacturer STMicroelectronics. The manufacturer grants 10 years availability for this.
